Apple the world reading day
This is a series of Featured Cards I illustrated for the Apple App Store's World Reading Day campaign.
The brief had an interesting hook: use a "book" as the central motif for three different editorial pieces, but execute each one in a completely different illustration style.
I matched the visual language to the mood of each text. For the "Spring Reading" story, I created a warm, surreal space. To illustrate deep reading habits, I built an Escher-like optical illusion. And for a practical guide on picking books, I went with bold, flat geometric shapes.
Beyond playing with different styles, the real technical focus was the layout. The artwork had to crop perfectly across everything from iPhones to 12-inch iPads. I mapped my compositions tightly around Apple's "Art Safe Area," keeping the top sections completely clean so the UI typography always stands out clearly, no matter the device.
